There was a farily high drop out rate in the one I'm thinking of, yeah. Were there a lot of drop outs during thelittlebang?

I also remember a multi-fandom femslash big bang on LJ last year that had a good number of authors signed up, but the mods disappeared before the sign up period was over :-(
