Well, the problem with the AU is that it's got so very many fandoms -- we're at 30 or so now -- and OCs, and a lot of people balk at one or the other of those. Plus, we write kind of out of order. The earlier stuff is still mostly in order tho.
There's really two ways of reading it. One is starting from the beginning [which can be done either on our archive or the LJ comm that my partner set up, as those both go primarily in universe order, starting with SG1 in 1997]. The other is reading the stuff involving the specific fandom of interest. I've had a lot of people just read for a specific fandom/character, and we always try to do our best to write the stories to stand alone as much as possible within the AU [so we can try to get more people to read the stories and get intrigued enough to read the whole saga].
