A link that might be of interest: for Pride Month this year, toastystats on AO3 put together a light analysis of AO3 F/F works.
It's interesting to see what's up there -- I didn't expect to know any of the band RPF type fandoms, but I had no idea Naruto had a significant F/F presence and had never even heard of fandoms like Mamamoo or Holby City.
I did eyebrow a bit at counting nonbinary characters on the grounds of "voiced by female actors", but I only recognized the Steven Universe characters (who are canonically woman-aligned).

Date: 2019-07-07 06:12 am (UTC)If you've never heard of Mamamoo, they're a korean girl group that are a little more open to skinship so the ships sail themselves, as they say. ^^; They know about the ships, and often play into them.
